From out in space, Bespin looks like any other gas giant planet. 118,000 kilometers wide, it is, however, home of the biggest disco night club in the known worlds, a place going by the deceptively calm name of Cloud City.

With most of its layers of gas utterly poisonous, and with pressures and temperatures that could squish a rock, you'd think Bespin would be the last place for such an establishment. However, less than 200 kilometers beneath the gassy surface of Bespin lies a handy oxygen layer in which the enterprising builders of the city placed their little den of fun.

By day, Cloud City resembles a pastel haven floating amid a dreamy world of pink and gold clouds. But come evening the residents drop what they're doing, throw on their best and brightest spandex, and hit the many dancefloors for all-nighters.

This is where Bespin's major export, Tibanna-gas party balloons, first became a fad, then a must-have accessory for all the cool get-togethers galaxy wide. Indeed, when the Empire invaded Cloud City in pursuit of the Millenium Falcon, they soon found that the odd party balloon cheered up the day nicely after one too many encounters with Lord Vader. To this day, Ugnaughts continue to process the gas, and Bespin Balloons can be bought through all known-world novelty outlets.

Meanwhile, the carbon freezing units come in very handy when chilling the beer.
